Biography of
Melissa Morrison M.H.
Melissa has been studying herbs for
food, medicine, & woods lore, since the
age of ten.
Melissa obtained her Master Herbalist
Diploma in 2005 from the School of
Natural Healing in Utah, the oldest herb
school in the U.S. started by Dr. John
Christopher. Some of her teachers from
this program are David Christopher M.H.,
Dr. James Duke, Dr. Armed Warfa, Richard
Shultz M.H., Christopher Hobbs and many
others.
In
2006 she completed Rosemary
Gladstar's Advanced Apprenticeship
In Herbal Medicine learning from
teachers such as Dr. Bill Mitchell N.D.,
Margi Flint, Steven Buhner, Matthew
Wood, Isla Burgess, Candis Cantin, and
other well known herbalists.
Every year Melissa attends workshops and
seminars on herbs, health, and nutrition
so her knowledge base stays up to date
and current with the latest studies on
alternative therapies.
Melissa holds an Associates Degree in
Culinary Arts from NHVTC of Berlin
(1985), which she uses toward helping
people understand the role of healthy
food in creating good health and how to
prepare it in tasty, satisfying ways.
Melissa is an Ordained Minister
with the Universal Life Church (1999)
which allows her to counsel those in
need of spiritual help and comforting
during their healing journey.
When doing health consultations, Melissa
brings all of her vast knowledge and
experience with herbs, natural
therapies, whole foods nutrition & diet,
and culinary arts into bearing when
assisting people in moving toward better
health.
